#25 - Learning Opportunities
If I never learn, I'll never grow.
I'm reflecting on how I approach decision making when another party is involved.
More often than not, I find a way to reduce my importance in that relationship and rationalise to myself. Thinking that, since my decision will not have so much impact on the other party, I can do as I please. Of course, that's not often the case.
I acted on that realisation and reached out to the CEO at work with the preface of a discussion, an announcement and an openness to negotiations or alternatives. I can see now and it's such a world of difference as opposed to my inclination of just emailing a resignation letter–among other things, it would have been a very poor reflection on my reputation.
While I took action, I did not follow through with just as much enthusiasm. I have a chance to fix that tomorrow. I'll take it.
I have not read my book today. Neither have I read my Bible.
I'm about turning in to bed now though. I'll read as much of my Bible as I can before logging off.
To tomorrow,
✌️Deji
